Charlotte Abramow (1993) first began taking pictures of her friends with a disposable camera at the age of seven. When she was 16, she had a crucial encounter with photographer Paolo Roversi at photography festival Les Rencontres d’Arles confirmed her desire to earn a living from her passion. In 2013, at the age of 19, she moved to Paris to study at Gobelins, l’École de l’Image, winning the Prix Picto for young fashion photographers just a year later. Charlotte also directed Angèle’s videos for ‘Murphy’s Law’, ‘Je Veux tes Yeux’ and ‘Balance Ton Quoi’. Her work focuses mainly on our relationship with the human body, women and life stages, presenting these elements in an absurdist style incorporating touches of surrealism.
