For the first thirty 30 years of his career, Eric de Ville (1956) specialised in photographing cars, cosmetics, perfume, jewellery and watches for various luxury brands. From a young age, however, he was already experimenting with manipulating images and negatives in an attempt to give them an additional artistic and imaginary dimension. Digital photo editing gave him the freedom to explore his imagination without limits. Since then, his approach to photography has shifted to something more similar to painting. The Tower of Babel is a theme he is deeply passionate about. Eric's Towers offer viewers a unique representation of cities such as Paris, Brussels or Bruges by constructing a Tower of Babel from individually photographed façades, each carefully placed within the composition.
