Flóra Borsi (1993) is a Hungarian art photographer. Her self-portraits are created using a combination of photography and surrealist digital manipulation. Her emotionally charged images bridge the gap between intimacy and the universal as they teeter between vulnerability and carefully constructed illusion. From lust and desire to loss and desperation, Flóra’s pictures express the complex power and fragility of the human psyche in a single frame. Her work often features the female body and explores the effect of concealing — or revealing – her subject’s eyes and face. Flóra’s work has been exhibited worldwide, from China and Los Angeles to the Louvre in Paris. The American Forbes included her in their ‘30 under 30’ list and in 2021, Hasselblad selected her as their first Hasselblad Heroine.
