Nick Verhaeghe studied at LUCA School of Arts and NARAFI in Brussels. During that time, he did an internship with Jimmy Kets. The young photographer reflects on the medium of photography in all its facets and, as a result, he shows extraordinary interest in a variety of techniques for capturing light and developing photographs. Verhaeghe also has a penchant for fleeting moments, ephemeral beauty and imperfections – for the simple reason that no one expects them to be perfect.
Nick Verhaeghe is driven by curiosity, experimentation, a deep connection to nature and a strong desire to challenge established norms in photography. His unconventional photographic techniques, such as the use of homemade developers and volatile materials, add an element of intrigue and alchemy to his work. Verhaeghe strives to create unique, evocative images that provoke wonder and poetically explore the human psyche.
